Agreement

By creating an account or using VoiceAU, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that business.

The service

VoiceAU uses telephony and artificial intelligence services to answer calls, gather enquiry details and send summaries to an account owner. Features may be offered as trials or changed as the service develops.

VoiceAU is not an emergency service and must not be used as a substitute for 000, professional advice, or a human decision-maker in a high-risk situation.

Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep access codes and account credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for the phone numbers, contacts, instructions and notification addresses configured in your account.

Acceptable use

You must not use VoiceAU to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, harass or deceive people, transmit malicious content, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or send spam or unsolicited marketing. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers or the service.

AI and transcription limitations

AI responses, transcripts and summaries may be incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable, particularly because of poor audio, accents, background noise or ambiguous requests. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming important information before relying on it, accepting work, entering into commitments or making consequential decisions.

Caller notices and legal compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that your configuration and use of VoiceAU complies with applicable laws and industry requirements, including requirements relating to call recording, surveillance, privacy and consumer protection. You must provide callers with any notices and obtain any consents required for recording, transcription or AI processing.

VoiceAU will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

SMS and email notifications

Notifications are transactional and sent to the destinations selected by the account owner. Email must be verified before use. Delivery can be delayed or fail because of carriers, mailbox providers or other systems outside our control. If Email only is selected, we do not substitute SMS after email delivery is enabled. We may disable an email address after a permanent bounce or spam complaint.

Information and AI providers

You give us permission to process information you provide, and information received through calls, only as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, secure, support and maintain the service, and to comply with legal obligations.

Third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, may access or process call content on our behalf as reasonably necessary to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. VoiceAU does not use the content of your calls to train general-purpose generative AI models.

Intellectual property

We retain rights in the VoiceAU service, software, branding and documentation. You retain rights in information you provide.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for loss reasonably caused by its own acts or omissions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. You may stop using the service at any time; some obligations continue where their nature requires it.
